Most walls in San Bernardino homes are textured, usually orange peel or knockdown. A drywall patch here is only finished when the texture matches the wall around it. We repair holes, cracks and damaged sections, match the texture and prime the patch so it does not show through the paint.
Drywall damage in San Bernardino homes is usually ordinary: a door knob through the wall, holes left by a plumber or electrician, torn paper where a towel bar pulled out, or a brown ring on the ceiling from a roof leak or the air conditioning line. Hairline cracks at the corners of doors and windows are also common. We repair all of these, and we do it as part of a paint job or as a visit by itself.
The repair method depends on the size. Small holes and dents are filled with compound. Larger holes get a new piece of drywall screwed to backing, then tape and three thin coats of joint compound, each one wider than the last and sanded between. Cracks are taped so they do not open again. Water-stained drywall that is still firm is sealed with a stain-blocking primer. Drywall that is soft or sagging is cut out and replaced once the leak has been fixed.
The last step is the one people notice. Local walls are almost always textured, so a flat patch stands out. We spray or hand-apply texture to blend with the wall around it, then prime the whole repair. Without primer, a patch shows through the finish coat as a dull spot. Paint for the patched wall can be included. You get a free estimate and a written quote that says what is repaired and what is painted. Call or text (909) 487-2695.

Drywall repair in San Bernardino: common questions
Will the patch be visible after painting?
A careful patch should be hard to find. That takes feathered compound, texture blended into the old wall and primer under the paint. Painting the whole wall from corner to corner, not just the patch, hides it best.
There is a water stain on my ceiling. Can you just paint over it?
Not with plain paint, because the stain bleeds back through. The leak has to be fixed and the area dry first. Then the stain is sealed with a stain-blocking primer and the ceiling is painted.
Do you take small drywall jobs?
Yes. A single hole or a few cracks is a normal call for us. Joint compound needs drying time between coats, so even a small repair can take more than one visit before it is ready for texture and paint.
